Interviews to Awaken the Mind

A blast from the past for #Throwback Thursday. I am rerunning these interviews as I feel you could benefit from other peoples experiences. Realizing now, I did these interviews to prove to myself I was not a wack-a-do, makes me chuckle. Then again, I still have a hard time telling people I am emphatic and can tune into someone who's not even in the room! The journey continues.

Interviews with Intuitives

To provide guidance to those who are becoming familiar with their intuitive abilities this platform offers a look into how others have come to know and work with their abilities. The universal energy (available to everyone) that is referred to here as “Intuitive”, comes in many forms. We will describe and discuss them here.

      Wendy Servi- Intuitive Healer

This month I chose a “newbie”. I have known Wendy for most of my life so I can see that her 29/11 numerology describes her well. Wendy’s 11 energy of “double creativity and confidence” comes through with her sense of humor, spot on comedic timing, her problem solving abilities and leadership skills (1 energy!). When I did Wendy's Life Purpose reading and discovered her healing abilities, the reading was a confirmation not a revelation. At the time, it was not something she was ready to share with others.  I am honored that she shared this personal information with me. I am ecstatic that she wants to share it with us!

Wendy thanks for taking time to chat with us. I know you are busy planning your wedding. Congratulations, by the way.

Tricia: Could you start by describing how you understand your intuitive gifts?
Wendy: My first experience was about 7 years ago but I didn’t know what it was at the time. This past year I have had a physical sensation in my body, like the hairs standing up on my neck, or I get stopping abruptly in mid breath. Negative feelings are the strongest and sometimes I don't know what "it" is. In one such instance I knew the person talking to me was not telling me the truth. It made me want to leave the room...the feeling was so intense I could not get out of there fast enough. Recently I found myself "knowing" before the person came into my office that their spouse had recently passed away.

I don't exactly know how to articulate my healing ability. People have come to me with pains or I've noticed something about them that they had not realized. Using my hands I can find the issues in their body. Sometimes I apply pressure and sometimes it is a light touch. One time I could feel a lot of heat coming from my hands.

I’ve recently noticed people coming to me with their personal stuff and it annoyed me at first. I have been told that I "missed my true calling and should've been a counselor or psychologist". I laughed at that suggestion because it came after I had mentioned my weakness in healing the spirit. When you acknowledge your weakness, or ask for help, you just might be presented with opportunities and not realize it.

Another ability I have yet to figure out is a ringing in my ear.

Tricia: I love what you said “When you acknowledge your weakness, or ask for help, you just might be presented with opportunities and not realize it.” Thanks for reminding us that we are not alone in this. Because people have already come to you for help, do you feel this is a request from Spirit to use your intuitive abilities to help others? You did say you were annoyed about it at first but how do you feel about it now?
Wendy: I honestly can’t say that I feel it is a request to help others, I almost feel like it's an answer to what has been the most important aspect to me as I have gone through my careers. I am unsure how to feel about it, there are too many emotions to pin point. I have to remind myself that if there are things that keep repeating, like people complaining or all their spouses dying, that I am missing the message, or I am not listening correctly. I laughed at myself, I am unsure how to feel about it, huh, dork....I feel unsure.

Tricia: Since your understanding of your abilities is new, only in the last year, will you seek more knowledge?
Wendy: Yes. I had started searching other websites at the beginning of your website development and have read the other interviews you have. And of course my number one knowledge provider right now is you! Thank you by the way!

Tricia: What would be your advice to those who are experiencing intuitive and healing abilities for the first time?
Wendy: My advice would be work on letting go of the fear. The fear you are wrong, the fear you will be judged or rejected, the fear that you might be seen as crazy.... It takes time and work, but all of those things will happen no matter what you do or don't do, so fear is pointless.

Tricia: That is great advice Wendy. All my love and light to you on this journey. Mahalo!

Do you have abilities you have not shared? Want to come out of the closet? Need more proof that there are more of us other there? Here are a two other interviews I did:

What's going on?

Whats Going On this week, June 18, 2017?

Repeated numbers, weird ‘symptoms’, gurus and Father’s Day.

As I began wondering what all these things have in common on this Father’s Day, my own father came to mind. He taught me many things but, mostly he encouraged my writing when I as a kid. I didn’t clearly hear this message from him until I was in my 40’s and not until 3 years after he left this earthly plain.

Ah ha!

The light bulb went on. I see the thread of all these things.

Repeated numbers.
Weird Symptoms.
Gurus Messages.
My dad.

First I will go into a bit more detail about each of the messages this week.

"3" intuitively interpreted by Tricia Gunberg. If you see this repeated number, your message is to creatively express yourself!

"3" intuitively interpreted by Tricia Gunberg. If you see this repeated number, your message is to creatively express yourself!

Repeated numbers:

I often see the question about repeated numbers. What does it mean to see 3 digit numbers, 111, 222, 333, 444, etc.? When I first noticed them in 2011 I was studying dream interpretation and looking for answers about life in general. I recall seeing 4:44 on the clock in my car and mentioned it to a friend. I believe that was the first time I heard Doreen Virtue being mentioned.

The repeated numbers come and go. The most noticeable being in 2013 when I 5:55 came to me several times a day for several days. I knew 5 meant change and I was not feeling well for several days but I didn’t understand I was more sick than I realized and needed to go to the doctor. I waited it out, didn’t honor myself and got so sick a trip to the ER was required. This is my interpretation of the repeated numbers and unique to me- not everyone who sees 555 is getting sick. Now when I see it I say, “Oh good change, I’m ready, I’m paying attention.”

For a long time after I would go looking for the answers, trying to figure out the message of the repeated numbers. Each numerologist/intuitive/psychic having their own interpretation or they just repeating Doreen Virtues interpretation. Then I began to intuit my own interpretation. I’ve discovered repeated numbers in a numerology chart grabs my attention so applying so I pay special consideration to them for the reading I give.

333 Repeated numbers, Numerology by Tricia Gunberg

333 Repeated numbers, Numerology by Tricia Gunberg

Currently, a day doesn’t go by without seeing a triple repeated number. Just yesterday 333 came up 3 times and the number 3 was in my daily tarot card with advice to meditate with 3 candles, 3 flowers and 3 incense sticks. The number 3, by the way, is creative expression and communication. More specifically for me, it means writing…just as my dad told me to do!

In short, repeated numbers is an indicator that you are paying attention, or being more mindful. You’ll find the meaning for yourself, allow the answers to come, getting quiet and knowing there is no need to force. To get a brief list of numerology for numbers 1-9 read my book. (only $3.99 as a Ebook.) "Say Yes to Who You Are to Create Fitness"

Weird Symptoms:
I share these with you for several reasons. One, as an empath I need to keep track of what's going on so I remember to ask “Is this mine?”, because most if the time it is not. Second, its a good way for me to do readings for myself, I have forever (2010 with Heal Yourself Louise Hay) been linking symptoms to old beliefs I can let go of. Lastly, maybe you have something weird going on and you can relate. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll reach out to me so I am not alone in my weirdness.

The symptoms I have been having and as well as odd cravings have me a bit baffled.  My intuitive abilities are ‘empathic’ meaning I get a feeling in my body which is a translation of what is going on in someone else. I in turn attempt to interpret the message. This is how I do my readings. Lately, I don’t even need to do the ceremonial ‘placing my hands over someone’, it just starts happening. Last month, an hour prior to an appointment I began having a headache.  This worried me as I work hard on not have any interference in my own body while doing readings. (Right down to planning when/what I eat, brush my teeth, shower, etc.) As the headache intensified I wondered if I needed to reschedule the client. The thought came to me, first as a question “Is this mine?” then as a statement, “This is not mine.” The headache began to subside. The headache was a message for my client- so glad I didn’t make a decision based on fear and cancel the appointment!

Another new development is a new sensation in both my hands and feet. These occurrences have not gone without a witness, I might be to chicken to share them here if I hadn’t. I’d describe the sensation as heat. Heat from my hands is not new. Many of my client’s report feeling heat from my hands and I am aware of it as an empathic message during a reading. What is different now is the intensity of the heat and the fact that I am not in the process of doing a reading when this occurs. My feet have also just ‘turned on’, two people describing it as heat, another describing as a tingling sensation.

Now for the cravings. I’ve been craving cigarettes for about 8 months- but never indulging. I’ve been breathing in and out as if l were smoking has sorta helped. Then I got the craving to use salt or sand on the palms of my hands. Almost daily as if they itch (I wouldn’t describe it that way though.)and the scrubbing relives it, slowly easing away and creating a feeling of ease and relief. Same for my feet. And I must, can’t tell you how nuts it makes me feel if I don’t, I must walk in rough sand for several minutes several times a week. The had scrubbing seems to relive the cigarette craving too. Both of these cravings make me feel a bit nuts or is it the manner in which I escape them that make me feel nuts?  I wonder if this is how crazy people start out or how OCD starts. I indulge, but what if it starts taking me over?  I mentioned it to a trusted person who does energy work and she seemed to think it was a natural way for my body to ask for clearing and grounding. With my new stronger empathic abilities, more clearing is necessary. (click here for more clearing and grounding ideas)

Gurus

I had an ‘er duh’ moment when deciding that most of the gurus I follow are saying the same message, just in a slightly different way.

I’ve been reading Eckart Tolle (I highly recommend 'listening' to his books) again, this time with more understanding than ever. Eckart came into my awareness around 2014 or so. I recall reading it thinking it was like Shakespeare and was in need of someone to interpret it. I now can hear a thread of the similar message of Abraham Hicks teachings and it makes sense to me now.

Abraham teaches us to say “Yes” to joy as often as we can. Eckart Tolle teaches us to do one of three things: accept, enjoy or be enthusiastic about everything. Basically, and how he puts it, you say “yes” to every moment that occurs. My study of numerology, my gratitude journal (on day 66), my practices of both yoga and meditation has helped with this. Also, reminding myself that thoughts are things, currently with added depth of meaning, so I continue to use it.

Life is happening FOR you, not ‘to’ you. Seeing messages and gifts in every moment takes practice. This also repeats the theme of the Law of Attraction. You know this to be true: like attracts like. If everyone around you is accepting, enjoying and enthusiastic it means YOU are those things.

Not overnight, not all at once. As a process that could take years, decades, a life time. I am watching my life unfold with these new awareness’s, chronicling them. It’s been fun and interesting. Especially the sharing part- that’s been exciting (when scary turns good). Many days I am not even close. Having more minutes of resistance is quiet obvious. That is only because I now have more moments of joy then ever and I know I have quadrupled my enthusiasm for life.

When you take moments of silence you are telling the Universe “Yes”. “Yes” I am ready. “Yes”, to who you are.  As I take the long way around the block to make my point. None of this information, from the important message to write to the seemingly unconnected symptoms, would have come to me unless I had taken moments to be quiet. Not minutes and certainly not hours. Just a few moments here and there when I would allow an answer to come or just to allow awareness.

Say “Yes” to what is happening in every moment, counsels Tolle.  I’ve been suggesting, “Say Yes to who you are,” of course it’s a good starting point. And Abraham advises; say “yes” to things that bring you JOY!

Just checking my meditation prompt for today and:  And here we have the message AGAIN: “Say Yes”, read more of this excellent post here: www.achangeloracle.com Angel Razbar 6/18/2017

The universal energy (available to everyone) that is referred to here as “Intuitive”, comes in many forms. We will describe and discuss them here.

20111130_MICHELE_ZEBROWITZ_11 (1).jpg

This month I welcome Dr. Michele A. Zebrowitz, Chiropractor and owner of Alpenglow Chiropractic in Durango, Colorado.  In attempting to explain what approach Dr. Michele uses to do her work, a quote comes to mind from Albert Einstein (33/6). “We cannot solve our problems from the same thinking that created them”. She understands the mind body connection and uses this intelligence in conjunction with her intuitive abilities to help her clients.  In Numerology terms she is a 35/8. This energy encompasses creativity, power, discipline, and an awesome mental capacity. The life path of a 35/8 is to apply their power and abundance in service to the world. Dr. Michele seems to have a handle on that. Interestingly, Edgar Cayce was a 35/8 too!

Tricia: Aloha Michele, Thanks for taking the time to be with us. Could you share your intuitive abilities and how you first experienced them?
Dr. Michele: It runs in the family. My mother had talked often about dreams, she could predict when people would die. When I’d stray from my path (of healing) something would knock me over my head. Eventually, I was led to studying Chiropractic which I found fit me well.
Tricia: Could you elaborate on the “hit me over the head” moments? Were you given signs that you ignored until you were “hit over the head” or was it something else?
Dr. Michele: Yes, the signs were there, but as I strayed from my path, the Universe did what was needed to get me back on.  Being a hard-headed individual, I suppose I required big "knocks" to get my attention....usually physical in nature.  These include a debilitating back injury, a nasty concussion, a shoulder injury, and a few others along the same line.
Tricia: How do you apply your intuitive abilities to your Chiropractic practice? In your daily life?
Dr. Michele: Intuition is definitely a requirement for the techniques I use in my practice, although I ultimately use muscle testing to confirm. There are flowcharts to help with this, but ultimately, it has taken years of studying and researching to discover how physical, emotional, and metaphysical "stresses" create patterns in our lives.  As far as daily life, I believe we all use our intuition....but some people don't listen to it!  What about that person who you know sucks the energy out of you just by being in the same room....the friend who only calls you when she needs something.....or the phone rings and you just know who it is.  I think that if more people would take the time to listen to their intuition, the world would be less hectic
Tricia: I agree and appreciate the reminder to listen. Your advertisement in EPIC states “Dr. Michele is an intuitive and energetic-based chiropractor who facilitates inner and outer change through traditional and non-traditional modern chiropractic care.” Can you share how you went from not sharing your intuitive abilities out of fear to putting it in print?
Dr. Michele: Wow, good question.  Adults suffer from this 'epidemic' of worrying about what other people think.  I model my practice after my mentors who have been helping people for many, many years.  One of my mentors in Georgia practices NET - Neuro-Emotional Technique. Personally, that helped me lose the "worry." I use a little NET in my practice, but mostly I use The Emotion Code with great results.  To answer your question, I don't waste time worrying about what other people think.  I have been described as a metaphysical chiropractor in print, too.  I feel like it attracts people to me who know I can offer some support, while deterring others who just want to be "cracked."

Tricia: Thank-you Dr. Michele for getting over your fear and for helping to create my Utopia; a world where every Doctor is concerned with the mind body connection, not just a “fix”. Also, Mahalo for your time.

Dr. Michele offers chiropractic adjustments and energy sessions in Durango.  She is available for house calls within an hour radius. Distance healing sessions are also available via Skype, phone, or even email.

Interviews to Awaken the Mind (I AM)

 ~Interviews with Intuitives~

To provide guidance to those who are becoming familiar with their intuitive abilities this platform offers a look into how others have come to know and work with their abilities. The universal energy (available to everyone) that is referred to here as “Intuitive”, comes in many forms. We will describe and discus them here.

This month I welcome Michelle Gabbe, PhD, author, Personal Development Coach, and editor at Conscious Life News. Her approach to Coaching is a combination of EFT (tapping) skills Akashic Record reading, NLP, Ho'oponopono, and PS-TEC. Michelle's Numerology is a 37/10. Her “3” energy is unmistakable in her ability to express herself. Awareness of her evolving intuitive wisdom is that “7” energy working. Michelle is truly creating higher forms of healing, beauty and inspiration that is her life path.  After living in Hong Kong and getting much of her spiritual training there, she has stopped briefly in Hawaii and will soon to be on her next adventure to the mainland.  Michelle and I share the same Numerology as well as the initial reluctance to talk our intuitive abilities. I’m honored she is in my life and excited that she is here with us today.

A common thread in my interviews and with conversations with intuitive people is their reluctance to talk about their abilities. A veteran of twenty years in health and healing, Intuitive healer Caroline Myss had this to say about it:
"...I did not understand myself well enough to pinpoint why I avoided any association with healing and clung to the professions of "writer" and "teacher" as if they were designer labels. Now, as I look back at that attitude, I have no doubt that my comfort with those labels was based on the fact that I never had to explain the occupation of writer and teacher, whereas describing myself as a medical intuitive always required a lengthy and exhausting description. It still does."
Quote from: A Mystic's Introduction to Healing

If Caroline Myss had a hard time explaining herself, it is no wonder the rest of us do too! But Michelle does a superb job describing her intuitive path!

Aloha and welcome Michelle, thanks for being here. Could you share your intuitive abilities and how you first experienced them?

My early understanding was that a person that truly had intuitive abilities could articulate them, write about them, explain then and teach them. Since I couldn’t do that I didn’t consider myself having any intuitive abilities. I think that the more I remove my own crap  the easier I can let more in. My training in Akashic records and reading about Edgar Casey inspired me to open up to the idea.

So now that you have been challenging answers for Akashic Records for several years, could you share how that is evolving? How do feel about it?

At first, I felt almost like a skeptic playing with a ouija board - secretly hopeful and excited, but also full of doubt! I put a number of restrictions on the readings - had to be done at a certain time of day, answers jotted down by hand, and I only addressed beings that were mentioned in the opening/closing prayer I'd found in a book, i.e the Lords, Masters and Loved Ones. It reminded me of the way I felt when praying to my idea of 'God' as a child: old wise dude high above in a skyward heaven generously extending some time to talk down to little old me. The initial readings took a long time, and felt stilted, probably because I was distractedly trying to critique and analyze the answers as they came. Eventually I started asking the Akashic Records Keepers about themselves and about what rules were genuinely important for my readings. They encouraged me to see their guidance regularly, and to remember that they are always there, not just when I've scheduled an official reading. More and more, I feel that these Akashic beings, which now include what I sense are spirit guides and angels and archangels, are gathered around me, and that the sounds of the answers are generated from a source that exists everywhere rather than just from above. They feel like the most loving, supportive group of friends! I no longer worry about whether or not the answers and guidance that I receive on behalf of clients is authentic and real, or that it will make sense to them. I simply wait until I feel strongly that I'm clear and capable of opening myself to receiving messages to the best of my ability that day. Trusting that the clients will find meaning in their reading allows me to relax and let the words flow freely.

I love how you described your relationship with your guides. You were saying that your training in Akashic records was just a guideline at first and you made it your own. Have you apply that philosophy in other ways? This could be a reason many people don’t explore Spiritual things, as they might do it wrong, what do you think?

I have an old pattern of setting high expectations for authoritative people and established ways of doing things. But when you put ideals on pedestals, they're bound to fall off. There has always been the initial assumption that everyone else knows more and can do it better that I can. If there wasn't a proven step-by-step method for how to do something, I was afraid to act. It held me back in writing, in communicating business presentations, the way I would conduct sessions - you name it. Now in my forties, what I'm finally realizing is that no one technique or dogmatic theory is superior to me and my ideas - the world is big enough to accommodate and honor the contributions of all of us. My nature is to question and fiddle with everything - from spiritual practices and parenting philosophies, to recipes and gardening methods - and nowadays I just run with it all. Whether or not my tweaking results in an actual improvement, I enjoy the learning process!

Could you talk briefly about Ho oponopono, how you apply it to your life and your work.

I think of Ho'oponopono as a meditative prayer - pure and profound. It's easy for me to get overwhelmed by all the suffering and injustice in the world, especially when I'm spending a lot of time finding content for ConsciousLifeNews. About 5 minutes repeating the Ho'oponopono phrases 'I'm Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You, I Love You' helps me to remember that everyone living on this Earth - past, present and future -  is co-creating our shared reality. Everything is happening just as it should be, in perfect time, and there is no benefit to arguing with what is, as Byron Katie would say.
In session work, integrating the Ho'oponopono phrases into the EFT tapping rounds works really well for clearing out anger and resentment especially. Sometimes we know we should let another person off the hook, if only for our own healing, but we're just not ready to 'go there!'  Ho'oponopono seems to help people see a part of themselves reflected in the behaviors of others - an important step for personal growth.

What advice to have for those just finding out about their intuitive abilities for the first time?

Firstly to recognize that intuitive messages come in many forms. We all have dominant energy channels for communicating with the world, and for receiving love and information. If it isn't already clear to you that you're primarily oriented to the visual or kinesthetic, auditory or auditory-digital, take a few of the many online tests for 'learning types'. And try to remember back to times in your life when you had a knowingness that a person or a situation just wasn't right for you, and later it was confirmed that your hunch was correct. How did you know? Was it a voice, a premonition of how things would turn out, or a feeling - a chill or a twinge - someplace in the body? Start making a habit of asking your intuitive self for advice. Give him/her a face or a voice that you find pleasing and admirable. You might not get answers right away, but it's a good way to signal that part of you that it's time to reawaken!

How can people contact you for an Akashic reading or coaching?

They can contact me by email at eftcoachmichelle@gmail.com or send a Skype contact request to michelle.gabbe. I offer a free introductory telephone/video consult.

Mahalo for your time Michelle!
Love and Light,
Tricia

The universal energy (available to everyone) that is referred to here as “Intuitive”, comes in many forms. We will describe and discus them here.

My first interview is apropos as she is my very first intuitive friend. I am pleased to introduce you to my Claracognizant friend Nikki Niznik from Durango, Colorado. Speaking in terms of Numerology, she is a 32/5 and true to her "5" energy, loves travel and adventure. It was a blessing to have Nikki enter my life in 2011. The Universe continues to show me her importance as a friend, a fellow intuitive, a mentor and animal lover. Welcome Nikki.

Nikki Niznik, Intuitive Healer from Durango, Colorado

Nikki Niznik, Intuitive Healer from Durango, Colorado

Tricia: Nikki could you describe your intuitive gifts to us?

Nikki: I'm an Intuitive Healer. I am Claracognizant-I just know what I know and don't know how I know it and Claracention- which is empathic, feeling abilities. As an Intuitive Healer, I do hands on healing for people and animals. The empathic or Claracention ability, is that I feel the physical and emotional pain of others and I just know what to do which is the Claracognizant ability. Healing energy, which is warm heat from my hands, flows through me from Divine Source. I can feel this energy when I place my hands on them. The energy goes into them where ever it is needed. Using my abilities together provides me with the ability to heal others.

Tricia: Have you always been aware of your gifts and your ability to heal others?

Nikki: Well, I have always known I had these gifts and used them in the past but didn't know what they were or how to explain to people what was going on with me until later in life. In September 2012, I asked a friend who is a Reiki Master Teacher/Practitioner to teach me. That's when I really started to open up with my healing abilities.  I have come to know that part of my calling was to help people cross-over from this life to the next when it is their time to die.  I consider it an honor to be there with them at the end of their life here on earth.

Tricia: That is so wonderful that you use your gifts to heal and to help people at end of life. Do you use your gifts in other ways? Say, for your own guidance?

Nikki: My gifts help guide me through life every day. No matter how big or small the task, when I ask for help it is given. My Angels and Guides are there, guiding, protecting and supporting me with Divine Love. With my Claracention gift, the answers may come to me in different ways. For example, I get sensations in my body that alerts me to pay attention. There are times when a stranger will be my guidance. When a total stranger walks up to me to say something, I know that it is an important message.

Tricia: As you know, people’s awareness and acceptance of their intuitive gifts vary drastically. How would you describe your relationship to Claracognizant, Claracention and Healing gifts you possess?

Nikki: My relationship with my gifts is my relationship with God because that is where it comes from.

Tricia: Thank you for sharing your personal experience with your gifts. I didn’t make the connection of vivid dreams as an intuitive ability until recently and like you I was not aware of my healing abilities until after my Reiki instruction. What advice would you give to those who are just learning about their abilities for the first time?

Nikki: Educate yourself. There are many books and materials out there to read, classes to attend, and internet sources to read, like Tricia’s website. Find someone you feel comfortable with that can work with you. You are not alone. Follow your heart and stay with the love. Have faith and trust yourself. Remember who you really are and everything will fall into place.

Tricia: Nikki, that is really good advice for those just starting to explore their abilities. Thank you for your time and letting us glimpse into your personal intuitive journey. Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

Nikki:  It is never too late to begin the Spiritual Journey of Self Discovery.  Everything happens for a reason and we ALL have these gifts. We are so much more than our physical bodies, we just need to go within.

Tricia: If anyone would like to know more about your Reiki Healing services and help with end of life transition, how do they contact you?

Nikki: You may contact me through my email address: nikkiniznik2@aol.com

Tricia: Mahalo, Nikki
