Worst Book I Have Ever Read.....

BOOK REVIEW by Tricia Gunberg

Acne: Just Another Four-Letter Word

 My plan was to read Dr. Aarti Patel’s book, heal my acne with her approach and report back to you.

That plan is not going to work.

Honestly, I really do not want to write this review, my integrity tells me otherwise.

 A quick side note. It’s advised that one not write a review on a subject they are passionate about, this is your warning. I’m so passionate about our ability to heal ourselves  (this is the premise of “Acne: Just Another Four-Letter Word” ) that I feel it’s my responsibility to share this concept with others. Equally important is providing proof such as this wellness book.

So here it goes:

This is the worst book ever.

Don’t misunderstand me. This well written 138-page self-help manual about acne is spot on. So much so that it hits too close to home for me.

That’s why I don’t want to write this review. The guidance offered made me cry.

Side bar: I’ve been working on honesty; I am aware of this necessity because it’s in my numerology. Represented by the 7 in my Life Path 37/10, I need to be more transparent and this is a challenge for me.

Not only did this book make me cry, it made me angry.

I had a heads up though. Look at what Numerologist Michael Brills says about acne:

            Acne is a 14/5...a tendency to try to hold back

            Cysts is a 14/5 too!

            1= low self esteem

            4= stubbornness

            5= rigidity

Louise Hay says of cysts; running an old painful movie.

I don’t want to run that old painful movie,

but here we go.

“Feelings are part of your life and only become a problem when they are told to shut up.”

This quote from the book is exactly what Brill and Hay tried to tell us with their interpretation of acne and cysts. Dr. Aarti also talks in depth about unresolved anger and then asks;

“Do you want to look and feel perfect or do you want to look and feel like yourself?”

Ha!
This is the million-dollar question. I’ve been looking for myself for decades! Shit, I even help others find their true selves through numerology because I understand its necessity!

I have two solid pages of notes in response to her advice. I won’t bore you with those. Besides, I’m afraid to, but I will share a few of the great tips she gives:

-Go ahead, get pissed.

-Don’t engage in relationships or environments where you can’t be who you are.

-Treat yourself how you want to be treated.

-Reconnect to your own voice.

and my favorite one,

-Let yourself be bad sometimes.

Not sure when I’ll be fully able to really read and hear all of Dr. Aarti wonderful self-care advice in the book. I’d really like to write my own Dear John letter to acne using several choice four letters words. In the meantime, I hope the book finds you if you need it and you are ready.

What are the biggest differences between a good psychic and a great psychic?

Tricia Gunberg, Intuitive Healer at Self-published Author (2011-present)

Answered Jan 5

BIGGEST DIFFERENCE: method and delivery…oh, and price. Note: I would not judge psychic by price.

I say this because both my method and delivery have changed for me drastically over the last nine years. My first several numerology readings were hand written and only $25! I had to look everything up (second guessing myself) and I questioned every ‘intuitive’ hit I got. In addition, I did a lot of ‘editing’ of the words I heard. Now, I have mini general readings prerecorded and offer it to you for only $5, just send me an email request.

I have a firm belief that any psychic you are guided to spend time with will have an important message for you. Does the depth of detail differ from someone just starting to learn the craft then a psychic who has been doing readings for three decades? - Certainly. Does that matter? Hell no.

BUT, there is a caveat-

It is just as important that the person being read is open to the information and the method. (Sometimes I scan people with my hands…most are okay with this, some freak out a bit.)

If you think someone is NOT qualified, they are not.
If you are drawn to someone and think they have something to offer- they will.

Here is an example:

Two years ago, while I was making the rounds on my book launch, I gave free readings with a purchase of my book. The reading was for a friend of a friend. She sat with her arms folded (my first clue that she was not fully open), I was getting something about ‘mother’ as I did an intuitive Health and Wellness Numerology Reading. This confused me because I usually get health related information, thus the title. I asked her some questions to get clarity on the message, to which she said, “I am to ask you questions, you are not to ask me questions.”(Second clue she was not open.) I said one more thing about her mother and she said, “My mother is a bitch and has nothing to do with what I need.” So with this final statement I stopped giving her a psychic reading and gave her a numerology reading. She didn’t want to hear what I had to say, she didn’t like my method and decided I was not very good at what I do.

You will find the guidance you need, Leslie? I am hearing the word “TRUST”. Do you need to trust yourself or others?

Is meditation the only way to develop/enhance a psychic ability?

Nope.

I’m guessing you wanted more than a one word answer so I will elaborate:

There are many books on the subject (I have not written one yet. but I have created a workshop) and a few of my recommendations included at the end, but let me give you a full answer first. My yoga practice has helped me immensely. The reason meditation works so well is because you learn to cut the chatter. You begin to discern the difference between the chatter and your inner voice/higher guidance. As meditation calms the mind, insight floods in. Others say when you quiet the mind you can hear your heart! Awe.

My dream study began after a psychic told me I could get answers to my own questions in my dreams. Now, I apply what I learned about symbols to the visions I get while doing Reiki healings.

Reiki healing.JPG

My training as a Reiki Healer, prompted by learning about myself through Numerology, blew the lid off my intuitive abilities. The first time I closed my eyes while doing a Reiki healing and could ‘see’ like in a dream, it totally blew me away. I was so glad that I had studied dream interpretation for the previous years…note that dream interpretation was for selfish reasons as I had no plans except to get answers for myself. The same is true for my Reiki training…I was only going to use it on my cats! Using it to help people has been a beautiful blessing.

As I began my own study of metaphysics I came across Sandra Choquette book and it inspired me to buy my first deck of tarot cards:

First deck of tarot oracle cards.JPG

The day I bought this deck my co-worker asked for a reading! It was a spot on reading that made her cry tears of joy.

(As a side note, I believe in the body/mind connection and am dealing with clearing out repressed anger*. My liver had given me this message before but I didn’t hear it until now. I’ve learned that when you have liver issue it can cause anger! But, I knew this too….that is where we get ‘angry drunk’ from, some people can not tolerate alcohol and their liver express its self. My point is, messages come in MANY forms and if you get distracted by how, when, where and try to use your mind to figure it out- you will not be able to! )

Thank you for this question, I forget my beautiful journey and how lovingly it has been rolling out for me. I get upset and frustrated at myself (*I know- I’m work on this daily too!) for not being further along. Tears of joy are rolling down my face just now while I recall the beginning, so thank you again.

If I had to pick the most important thing for you to learn, it would be to get to know yourself better and have the awareness of your abilities be a bonus. ‘Know’ how much sleep you need, what type of exercise, what makes your heart sign…etc. Here are a few books that helped me on my journey. If you are a 1 Life Path or have repeated 1’s , I highly suggest lots of movement and exercise. For FREE numerology go to my website. If you have 2’s or are a 2 Life Path your sensitivity needs to be appreciated and addressed. If 3 is in your chart your creativity needs attending to, as does your ability to get distracted. …that reminds me, I have work to do (ha! I’m a 37/10…).

Q and A Saturday- July 13, 2019

As a professional psychic, how do you sleep at night knowing you're taking advantage of gullible and vulnerable people?

Tricia Gunberg, Intuitive Healer at Self-published Author (2011-present)

Answered Dec 10, 2018

This is one of those situations where you are damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Since your questions is actually one I pose to Western Medical Doctors and Politicians, I suppose I have it coming. I too assume most of them are dirty thieves. Also, it reminds me of an high school event when my classmates were harassing me about a personal decision I made. At the time I just explained myself to them and the following year some of them came back to apologize and expressed admiration for my maturity.

What the hell…here goes.

Reiki healing Tricia Gunberg.JPG

First a question. Has one of my clients complained to you about me? If so, please direct them to me so I can remedy the situation. I did have one client upset with me because I would not answer the question, “Will my daughter get a divorce.” (It’s not her business and not what I do.) I stopped the reading and gave her money back. Second, you have made a lot of assumptions here, I’ll let that go and invite you to my Facebook page so you can read the comments and compliments directly from my clients and followers. You may ask respectful questions there, but you may not be a sass mouth.

You sound offended, but I will not apologize for what I do or who I am. I was given many ‘clare’ gifts and everyone I have done a reading for has expressed their appreciation for them and me. I have helped a lot of people, some for free. If you think my Facebook page is a scam then go to Hospice of Kona’s Facebook page, you will find compliments to me for my work there because I have donated many free readings over the last 5 years to help those who are dealing with grief and pain.

I’m not sure if you were looking for a fight or a free reading and as I am a lover not a fighter, here is a free channeled reading for you:

reiki image.jpg

“Since you have chosen to use your leadership skills in this way (harassing others instead of uplifting) you may find that life could become harsh towards you. This is not karma nor ‘you got it coming’, - this is energy. What you put out, you will get back. If you cheat others, you will attract cheaters. When you are kind to others, you will find kindness. Those that describe this as the Law of Attraction are correct, you do indeed attract the same energy you expel. We are not scolding you, just informing you. Informing you of your ability to lead others to greatness, you have no time to bicker and point out what others are doing. You have work to do young man. The work you are here to do is to inspire others. You got lucky with this one- you inspired her to consider your question with kindness and generosity. Go now and do the work you were sent here to do. With kind regards, your Spirit Guides.”

Well, there you go.

Love and Light,
Tricia
